Bwik, was first registered in 2001, as Bwik Enterprises (U) Ltd, a private limited liability company in Uganda, East Africa, to carry out general trading including but not limited to petroleum products. The company was started by individuals drawn from diverse backgrounds with a drive to run a local company with a global outlook. As Business flourished over the years, the proprietors, deemed it fit to streamline the company according to line of business products. This idea later saw the incorporation of Bwik Petroleum Ltd, in 2007, registered to deal solely with petroleum products both locally and internationally.

In line with diversification strategy the company’s product range has grown and current portfolio does include; Refined Fuels (Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Aviation Fuels), Bituminous products (grade: 80/100, 60/70 and MC30 among others), Petroleum Jelly and White Oil, Caustic Soda and Master Batches. The core of these products include: Fuel which is traded locally and internationally including off-shore business, and Bitumen which is traded mainly in the East and Central African region.
